Varied habitat at Katherine Abbott Park includes two small ponds, a mix of oak and pine forest, and a prairie section, making it a good location for a variety of birds. Several overlooks allow for long-distance viewing of shorebirds and ducks.
INFORMATION: Bring binoculars and a field guide, if available. A limited number of binoculars can be borrowed from the leader. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Water and bug spray are advised.
