Katherine Abbott Park includes two small ponds, a mix of oak and pine forest, and a prairie section, making it a good location for a variety of birds. Since it is spring, we will both look for and listen to birds.
Information: Bring binoculars and a field guide, if available. A limited number of binoculars (4 sets) can be borrowed from the leader. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Water and bug spray are advised.

Registration: None – we expect 12 – 15 people to attend.
Accessibility: 2 – 3 miles route divided into two loops; main trails are paved, coarse gravel, and wood chips; other small trails are uneven; small hills and overlooks are part of trails system; portable restroom available.
