One of the best birding areas in Twin Cities Metro! Focus is on songs/calls of nesting birds in a hardwood forest as well as spring migrants. Hooded warbler is a target species.

DIRECTIONS      Take 35E or W to Co 42, go west ~ 2 miles, then south ~ 2 miles on Burnsville Parkway which becomes Hanrehan Lake Blvd. At Highway 75 aka Murphy Lake Rd, turn left and immediately into the parking lot on the left.

DIFFICULTY      Wide natural trails. Medium to strenuous
